Umlani Bushcamp was founded in 1989 in the Timbavati Private Nature Reserve, the camp was built in the central section of the Timbavati, which is now open to and part of the greater Kruger National Park. Umlani Bushcamp is a classic South African safari camp with accommodation for 16 guests in traditional African reed and thatch huts.

Umlani bush camp blends in with nature - the entire bush camp was built out of natural materials in a traditional African style. The bushcamp can accommodate a total of 16 guests. in four double huts, three huts that sleep four, and one hut that sleeps three people.
Each hut has en-suite facilities with an open-air bush shower.
The hut is comfortably fitted with white mosquito nets, crisp white linen and towels as well as standard bathroom amenities, bottled water (although the tap water is perfectly safe to drink) and insect repellent. The Umlani philosophy of simplistic luxury and 'getting back to nature' is enhanced by the romance of operating without electricity, so each hut and the entire camp is lit by candlelight and oil lamps, providing a warm and romantic atmosphere.
