Accommodation at a Glance
The eleven thatched colonial styled accommodation suites are luxuriously equipped with double beds and romantic cascading mosquito nets. The rooms at Kings Camp have remote controlled air-conditioning, a tea and coffee station, a fully stocked mini-bar and private veranda with hammock, with the bathrooms having a Victorian ball-and-claw bath as well as indoor and outdoor double showers. For your comfort and convenience, bath-robes, mosquito repellent, an umbrella, hairdryer and a torch (flashlight) are provided. Kings Camp offers a number of very comfortable living areas for you to just sit back, relax and soak up the tranquillity of the bush. A thatched viewing deck overlooking a water-hole and an open plan lounge and bar are the ideal place to relax during the heat of the day what about sipping an ice cold cocktail? or alternatively take a swim in our pool.
Early morning and afternoon into the evening guided game drives in "open" safari vehicles are offered, the rangers add value to the experience imparting their knowledge. Tea, coffee and biscuits are provided at the comfort stop on your morning game drive with drinks and canapés for sundowners on the afternoon game drive. Your afternoon game drive gets back after dark, which gives you exposure to the opportunity of finding some of the nocturnal animals using a spotlight.
We also offer guided walks, on request, in the bush, these, immediately after breakfast, are the best way of experiencing another aspect of the bushveld, the smaller animals, the environment, more holistically. Your knowledgeable ranger will guide you through the fauna and flora of the Timbavati Nature Reserve, pointing out insects, grasses, trees and the smaller species that are all an integral part of Kings Camp and the Timbavati Game Reserve.
