Six generously spacious Luxury and one Family Suites and two exquisite Honeymoon Suites are luxuriously equipped with air-conditioning, Victorian ball-and-claw bath, indoor and outdoor double shower, fully stocked mini-bar and private verandah. Each Honeymoon Suite has a private verandah with large plunge pool overlooking the African bush.

At the Main Camp, a thatched viewing deck overlooks an active waterhole, and an open plan lounge and bar are ideal places where you can simply relax and soak up the tranquillity of the African bush at this Timbavati safari lodge. ACTIVITIES
Guests planning a Kings Camp safari in the Timbavati can look forward to twice daily game drives in custom-designed safari vehicles, night drives with a spotlight in search of nocturnal creatures, guided bush walks and specialised bird watching safaris with expert guides. The Timbavati is especially well known for its frequent elephant sightings, as well as leopard and rare African wild dog. It is also home to over 350 bird species, making it a must-see destination for keen bird watchers.

Early morning and afternoon into the evening guided game drives in "open" safari vehicles are offered, the rangers add value to the experience imparting their knowledge. Tea, coffee and biscuits are provided at the comfort stop on your morning game drive with drinks and canapés for sundowners on the afternoon game drive. Your afternoon game drive gets back after dark, which gives you exposure to the opportunity of finding some of the nocturnal animals using a spotlight.

We also offer guided walks, on request, in the bush, these, immediately after breakfast, are the best way of experiencing another aspect of the bushveld, the smaller animals, the environment, more holistically. Your knowledgeable ranger will guide you through the fauna and flora of the Timbavati Nature Reserve, pointing out insects, grasses, trees and the smaller species that are all an integral part of Kings Camp and the Timbavati Game Reserve.
